I’m about 5 weeks away from my first summer without set commitments. I have some things on the to-do list, but there is nothing that will make me follow a schedule.

I already enjoy my photography blog, (mom)ents. I have found, though, that I often have something I want to say that pictures don’t express. So, I thought I’d add another dimension to my blogging.

The title of the blog comes from a quote by Benjamin Franklin. I love quotes. I love using them as a theme for my photos and whenever I have some writing to do, I find a quote and write to that theme. (Often, though, something different comes out and that’s okay.)

Some people say that people who use quotes do so because they can’t write or think for themselves. I can live with that. I don’t really analyze things that much – although if I did, I would say that’s like saying that painters should never use other painter’s work to inspire them. But that’s just me.

So, we’ll see where this goes, if it goes anywhere at all.
